How does it work?
Fat and tissue in the face and neck naturally drop during the ageing process, causing ptosis (drooping) and folding of the skin. By inserting a fine and resorbable suspension suture into the fat layer of the skin, the suture repositions fat and tissues. The procedure results in a natural and rejuvenated look, giving a fresher and youthful appearance.
What is involved?
After application of a local anaesthetic, the threads are inserted just under the skin using a cannula. The number of threads used depends on what areas we are targeting. No incisions are required and there are no stitches to be cut as the sutures are held in place. You will be left with a needle mark in the hairline on each side of the face and no other incisions to the skin.
Who is it for?
PDO threads are recommended for men and women who are trying to combat sagging skin or loss of volume but don’t want heavy and invasive treatment. PDO threads are ideal if you have heavy facial sagging and require a stronger lift and would benefit from some volumisation.
